Nowadays there's concrete, metal, and steel everywhere, portrayed as buildings and cities which consumed and replaced nature and green spaces more and more as time went on. The population level continues to surge and more people are surrounded by structures and human-made buildings which causes the gap between humans and nature to shift further. In our modern society, the environment we are living in has control and changes the way we live and decide unconsciously.
In this photographic series, we wanted to portray and visualize the world where Cold structures of concrete and steel have consumed the majority of green spaces. The extreme conditions and environment of modern society have left out a lot of pressure and discombobulation in our lives. Some may find themselves with feelings of confusion, isolation, overload, and loneliness inside a concrete jungle, and want to return to a life where there’s more green. The concrete jungle has portrayed and symbolizes the effects and emotions applied to people in this sequence of photographs, using the term we came up with; ‘ the black sun ‘ to represent the effect of the concrete jungle ( darkness and confusion ). "Concrete Jungle" is both a metaphor and a very real place and emotion.
